In the Sierra Queretana in Mexico, an illegal mercury mine sits in the middle of the mountains. Workers work their way everyday to be able to sell the mercury they find in order to provide for their families. Men here have worked for generations, making it their only source of income. Because it is not government regulated, conditions are not safe.
The miners don´t work on the furthest mine because it collapsed some weeks ago.
With time, less and less buyers come for the mercury, the miners have heard of other mines not so far, where they could move if work does not improve.
